UPDATE 31 December 2018:
Zizhu has moved to Toronto. His new owner is very familiar with Husky characteristics through the ownership of similar dogs in the past and immediately upon meeting Zizhu knew that he was the dog for him. Lots of time spent at a home up north where he can “romp and play” are in this handsome boy’s future.
Congratulations and best wishes to Zizhu in his new home.

Original Post:
Zizhu is a beautiful husky German Shepherd cross puppy approximately 48 pounds in weight, 17 months of age, in good health with an exuberant, enthusiastic temperament with those he knows and trusts.
Like all huskies, he sheds a fair amount so would not be suitable for anyone with allergies. He is very playful and loves balls but his favourite activity of all is going for walks. Zizhu is fearful of sudden movements and hasn’t spent any time with children or cats, so no cats or children in his forever home please.
Zizhu is extremely loyal and loves to hang out with his favourite people but is overwhelmed by large social gatherings, so needs to live in a quiet home with few visitors. He enjoys walking on a leash or the chance to run in a safe environment. He does love the ladies, so a calm well-balanced older female dog in his new home would be ideal.
Zizhu is flourishing on his current diet but always appreciates treats – a great training motivator. He can eat just about anything – not a picky eater! He is very attached to his current owner but unfortunately, becomes anxious whenever the owner leaves. Regretfully, the household has come to the decision that their busy jobs do not allow them enough time to burn off his energy and create a reliable routine for Zizhu to follow.
Zizhu needs a new home with a strong alpha leader experienced with nervous and anxious dogs. Although not a requirement for adoption, we think the presence of a well-balanced dog, male or female, living in his new home would help make this transition to a new household smoother.
Huskies need plenty of exercise so proper socializing and positive reinforcement training is a must for Zizhu to reach his full potential. If you can offer him structure, training and access to a large backyard and daily leashed walks, you may become this wonderful dog’s new best friend.
