UPDATE Nov 15, 2018:

Takoda has been adopted by a young woman from Mississauga. She presently owns a one year old Chihuahua and a 13 year old cat. The residence backs onto a lake and wooded area with lots of walking paths so Takoda is going to have the time of his life exploring his new terrain.

Takoda is seven years of age, updated on all vaccinations and neutered. For the past five years he has been the beloved companion of a young woman who spent hours in the countryside playing with this boy and showering him with lots of love. Life changed drastically for them both when a little girl was born 17 months ago.

Takoda, no longer the centre of attention, became jealous of the baby and sadly it has been decided that the only alternative is to re-home this handsome canine.

Takoda gets along with big dogs who are calm, laid back and non aggressive (Retrievers, Labs, Burmese Mountain etc.) but his real favourites are little dogs. He has a mega amount of energy so needs lots of space in which to run. We suspect that an adult only home would be the best match unless all resident children are teenagers.

All in all, Takoda is a gentle, sociable dog who has a “joie de vie” that will be appreciated by any individual who is truly looking for an active canine companion.
