UPDATE 10 Jan 2021:

Fred has moved to Ottawa. His new owner is a single woman who owns a cat and has a vast amount of experience with big dogs. Many walks a day are on Fred’s new agenda and we suspect that any excess pounds (which are so detrimental to his arthritic condition) will vanish in no time at all.

Fred is a gentle, 100 pound giant. A mixture of a number of breeds ( Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernard, German Shepherd) Fred, at 11 years of age ( born May 2009), is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

He is a loving, good natured boy who gets along well with adults and children alike. Cats and other dogs are accorded respect for Fred is a canine who does not discriminate by size and accepts each animal on his or her own merit.

Fred suffers from arthritis ( part of the ageing process) and his fondness for treats does not help to keep him “slim and trim”. We suspect his new family will be placing our Fred on a weight loss diet that includes lots of vegetables which are his favourite. Fred loves to swim so a home that has access to water would be a bonus. All in all Fred is a wonderful boy!!
