Adoption Success For Cat Bella. So Comfy In Her New Fur-Ever home.

Back in April, ten year old cat Bella was searching for a new home. After an extensive search, the most suitable and loving new home is exactly what Bella is now enjoying.

Bella was a little bit shy and wasn’t fond of other pets so we suspected that the best match for a successful adoption into a new forever home would be with a retired couple or a single senior.

We published her profile on the Oasis Animal Rescue website and promoted her need for a new home on a number of popular websites. Fortunately there were a good number of early enquiries, as it can sometimes take a bit of time to find the right home for an older pet.

The pet adoption applications received for Bella were then reviewed in detail and there were a number of potentially great new forever homes for this girl. Choosing a prospective new pet owner is something we take very seriously. Often we are re-homing pets who haven’t had the best homelife in the past. They may even have just lost the only human they’ve known if someone has passed away. Oasis Animal Rescue always strives to do our very best to ensure the pet is adopted into a suitable and loving new home with the best chance of success for the pet and the family.

The Oasis team routinely arranges a “meet and greet” between potential adopters and the pet(s) they are interested in. For Bella, her meet and greet was a huge success. She immediately found a cozy lap to lie in and we knew right away she had made a positive connection with her new humans.

Fast forward 3 months to July 2021 and Bella’s new family have shared photos and this update for you:

“Beautiful, 10-year old Bella was adopted in April by ourselves, a retired couple. In this short time she has settled happily into our home and our hearts. Bella loves to watch the neighbourhood from her bed in the front window and has found a special sunbeam to call her own. She loves to be groomed and is happy to cuddle with either of us. Bella has indeed found her fur-ever home.”
