Layla’s story began on the streets of Mexico as a stray puppy … malnourished, skinny and totally alone.

Thankfully she found refuge at a local dog shelter but life has not been easy for this sweet soul. Now two years of age, spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations, Lola has developed an eye condition and desperately needs to be correctly diagnosed and subsequently treated.

Unfortunately there are few veterinarian specialists in Mexico qualified to attend to Layla so we believe the best option is to bring her to Canada. To do so, however, a foster placement must first be identified and we can thereby enrol her in our “foster to adopt” program if the family qualifies.

Lola is a joy to be around. Affectionate, trusting, great on a leash and receptive to all attention. This is a dog who will truly steal your heart.
